In the Paraguaná Peninsula, public employees from different institutions of the Venezuelan State took to the streets this Wednesday, February 15, to demand the ignorance of their labor rights.

From the José Leonardo Chirino square, the workers of the electrical sector in the entity joined, since last January 9, the protests of educators, the health sector and public employees, in addition to retirees and pensioners.

Starling Bracho, general secretary of the Corpoelec workers’ union, led the assembly that was held in Punto Fijo, during the day of peaceful protests that they carry out to demand wage and labor improvements and respect for contractual clauses.

Bracho explained that the electrical union will continue adding wills from the different municipalities of Falcón in the demand for fair and decent wages. “The fight belongs to everyone, both retirees and active ones,” he said.

During this assembly, he urged public employees, who are afraid of joining the national fight for reprisals, to once and for all claim their labor claims, since as Venezuelans they have the full right to do so.

For his part, the President of SumaFalcon, Alexis Castellanostated that the educational union has established an agenda of claims for three important points: demand the progress of the denial tables in Caracas, reject the intimidation of teachers who attend the assemblies and the migration of employers, from regional to national.
