Throughout the national territory, crews of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec), will execute works of the Vegetation Clearing Plan in 42 generation plants, 36,000 kilometers of lines (substations) and 4,500 circuits of the National Electric Service (SEN), as part of the preventive actions to avoid affectations in the Public service.
The president of Corpoelec, Jose Luis Betancourthighlighted the importance that the electric power company works in cooperation with the country’s governments and mayors, in compliance with municipal ordinances, which establish preventive maintenance in the control of vegetation, stipulated in the environmental permits and respects the conservation of species .
Likewise, crews from the Ministry of Popular Power for Electric Power (MPPEE) through Corpoelec, carry out the Pica y Poda Plan throughout the national territory, which has more than six thousand men and women whose objective is to control vegetation and weeding in the SENaccording to a publication on the Instagram social network account, @bentacourt_jl.
«These compañeras and compañeros have to travel kilometers, face complexities such as irregular terrain to reach a point where vegetation control must be carried out; It is important to highlight the effort of these comrades, it is titanic”, stated Betancourt.
It should be noted that these tasks are carried out to guarantee the continuous and efficient service of the SEN throughout the country and to attend to the requests of the People through the application VenApp of the 1×10 System of Good Government.
