This Wednesday the National Electric Corporation, (Corpoelec), reported on a “criminal attack” to the National Electrical System (SEN), which affected 2 lines located in the East of Venezuela, which interrupted the electricity service, but which in record time was restored.
Inhabitants of several areas of Caracas and the main regions of the country reported a strong electric downturn at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10.
Corpoelec in the statement, emphasizes that the new “terrorist maneuver” occurs at a time when the National Government faces a new battle in defense and independence, threatened by the United States government.
He announced that state security agencies have already investigated what happened to establish the corresponding sanctions and called for the Venezuelan people alert and united.

The National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) vigorously condemns the criminal attack perpetrated on Wednesday against the National Electrical System (SEN), specifically in two 230 kV transmission lines, located in the east of the country.
Thanks to the ability to respond by our workers, the electric fluid affected by this new terrorist maneuver that aims to attempt against peace and national stability was restored in record time.
This new sabotage occurs just when the National Government, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, faces a new battle in defense of its sovereignty and independence, threatened by the systematic aggression of the United States government.
Given this attack against an essential public service, state security agencies have undertaken thorough investigations that allow identifying, locating and capturing the intellectual and material authors of this fact.
In this sense, we urge the Venezuelan people to stay alert and attached to the destabilizing actions of factors linked to the extreme right.
Corpoelec will continue to deploy all its technical and human resources to overcome Bs effects of this aggression and guarantee the sacred right of our people to a reliable and continuous electrical service.
