Coronavirus: with 3,194 samples, Cuba identifies 96 infections on Saturday

Cuba identified 96 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Saturday, according to the information The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) issues this day. The processed samples reached 3194.

The highest figures corresponded to Havana (18), Holguín (16), Santiago de Cuba (14) and Las Tunas (11). On the contrary, Pinar del Río and Granma did not report cases, according to the MINSAP.

By age ranges, infections continue to predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 43 cases on the day. In addition, 28 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, seven to 40 to 59 years old and 18 were over 60.

Of the positive samples, 68 were contacts of confirmed cases and in seven the virus had been imported. In 21 individuals, the cause of the infection was not specified.

Clinical discharges totaled 69 while 760 people remained admitted, of which 451 were confirmed active cases. Both figures with increases in relation to theto the previous day, when the numbers of infections They were over a hundred.

Bedridden in intensive care were four patients this time, two in critical condition and two in serious condition.
