The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported another death in Cuba due to COVID-19 at the close of Tuesday, when the SARS-CoV-2 virus totaled 676 infections.
The death corresponds to a man from Guantanamo, aged in the seventy-year-old range, and whose death brings the number of fatalities caused by the pandemic to 8,517 in Cuba, where the lethality remains at 0.78%.
Of the total infections, 655 were contacts of confirmed cases and in 17 individuals the cause of the infection was not specified. Imported cases totaled four.

For these results, the laboratories processed only 9,998 samples. All the provinces were below a hundred positives, and the highest figures correspond to Camagüey (99), Ciego de Ávila (96) and Mayabeque (81).
By age, the most affected range this time was that of people over 60 years of age, with 191 patients. They are followed by those under 20 years of age, with a total of 184 positives. After: 160 classify between 40 to 59 years old and 141 between 20 and 39.
The Minsap reported 814 clinical discharges, while those admitted as a result of COVID-19 total 7,131; of these, 2,993 were confirmed active cases.
From the intensive care rooms, 22 bedridden patients were reported, nine patients in critical condition and 13 reported in serious condition.
