The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) reported 6,018 new cases of coronavirus this Monday, which represents almost 4 times more than on Sunday of last week (1,618).
According to the official weekly report on the Covid-19 health situation that released the data from November 28 to December 4, 5 deaths were recorded.
In this way, the accumulated number of infected rose to 1,174,663, and the number of deaths rose to 13,403.
The Buenos Aires health system also reported 2,652 new cases of coronavirus corresponding to people not residing in CABA, with a total of 763,176, and 2 deaths (a cumulative 5,007).
The lethality rate, that is, the percentage of deaths over positive diagnoses, was 1.14%and the average age of deceased persons is 76.2 years.
Since the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in Argentina, in March 2020, a total of 10,890,119 swabs were made in the district, with an accumulated positivity rate (confirmed cases based on tests carried out) of 18%, while the average daily positivity for the last week is 55.4%.
