Coronavirus outbreak: China locks down a city of 9 million people

The authorities of the The city of Changchun, in northeast China, decreed this Friday the confinement of its nine million inhabitants. due to the increase in coronavirus casesit was officially reported.

According to the official disposition, the inhabitants of this city will have to remain in their houses and only One person per household may leave the home once every two days for reasons of importancereported the AFP news agency.

China is experiencing its worst coronavirus outbreak in two years and the one in Changchun is the largest confinement announced since the tax in the metropolis of Xi’an (north), when 13 million inhabitants were quarantined at the end of last year.
