Infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus fell below 300 in Cuba, after this Monday the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) registered 239 at midnight.
In its part of today, the health authorities also reported the death from COVID-19 of an Avilanian woman who, by age, was in the fifty-year-old range. Now there are 8,522 fatalities from the pandemic since March 2020.
The total of processed samples closed at 5,337, the positivity was 4.5% and after processing it is broken down as follows: 232 were contacts of confirmed cases; in four individuals the cause of the infection was not specified and three were imported.

Havana reported the highest number of infections, 41, while the smallest numbers continue to come from the eastern provinces of Santiago de Cuba (two), Granma (two) and Guantánamo (one). One case was also reported by the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age continues to be the one with the highest figures in 24 hours, 88 today. The behavior in the remaining groups was as follows: 48 cases between 20 and 39; 35 between 40 and 59 and 68 in those over 60, the second most affected range today.
According to the MINSAP, 420 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 totaled 4,818; Of these, 1,473 are confirmed active cases.
In intensive care rooms, the sum of bedridden patients was 22, 13 in critical condition and nine reported in serious condition.
