The Ministry of Public Health issued its second weekly report regarding the situation of covid-19 in the country. In total, in the indicated period, 1,867 new cases were registered, which against the 2,158 of the previous week represents 582 fewer infections. The same thing happened with the number of active cases (people with the disease) which was 2,095 people, 80 less than in the previous seven days.

The number of tests that were carried out during the last week was 23,069, which represented almost 3,500 less than that from April 17 to 23. On the other hand, the percentage of those tests that were positive of the total tests that were applied (positivity) was 7.8%. This translates into a decrease of 0.4% compared to the last mark.
