This Sunday, 12,764 analyzes were carried out and 4,743 new cases of covid-1 were detected9, according to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).
There are currently 50,071 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 178 of them are in critical care centers.
In addition, 12 deaths were recorded. So far there are 6,756 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 5,505,825 tests have been processed and 777,490 have been registered positive cases of coronavirus throughout the national territory. Of that total, 720,663 have already recovered, according to the report published by the National Emergency System.
Of the 4,743 new cases, 2,411 are from Montevideo, 718 from Canelones, 289 from Maldonado, 243 from Colonia, 137 from Paysandú, 115 from San José, 99 from Soriano, 82 from Salto, 81 from Durazno, 79 from Rocha, 76 from Lavalleja, 72 from Río Negro, 68 from Tacuarembo, 67 from Rivera, 64 from Cerro Largo, 49 from Artigas, 40 from Florida, 35 from Treinta y Tres and 18 from Flores.
