Coronavirus in Uruguay: four deaths, 169 new cases and 12 people in ICU

Uruguay registered this Sunday four deaths and 169 new cases of covid-19 on a total of 6,894 tests carried out, as reported in its daily report by the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity was 2.45%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people.

The deaths were of people from Montevideo, Canelones and Tacuarembó and they were between 39 and 82 years old. In the accumulated since the health emergency began in Uruguay, 6,129 deaths with a positive diagnosis of coronavirus have been recorded.

Currently there 2,136 active cases and 12 are in critical care centers. Of the total assets, 54 correspond to health personnel.

According to the official report, of the 169 new cases, 64 were from Montevideo, 29 from Canelones, 27 from Maldonado, 13 from Colonia, eight from Rocha, seven from Durazno, seven from Tacuarembó, seven from Treinta y Tres, two from Lavalleja. , two from Salto, one from Florida, one from Río Negro and one from Rivera.

All departments register active cases of the disease this Sunday. Montevideo leads the list of infected people with 649, followed by Canelones (434), Maldonado (270), Rocha (182) and Tacuarembó (168).

For this conference’s report, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) reported that removed three cases from the asset list, although he did not explain the reasons.
