Uruguay registered this Thursday 10,026 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 27,460 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 36.5%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were 39 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 47 and 103 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,579 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 66,625 active cases across the country and 157 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 1,099 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 10,026 new cases, 4,543 were from Montevideo, 1,287 from Canelones, 678 from Maldonado, 352 from Tacuarembó, 337 from Colonia, 322 from Paysandú, 311 from Cerro Largo, 259 from San José, 247 from Soriano, 218 from Lavalleja, 217 from Río Negro, 215 from Rivera, 195 from Florida, 177 from Salto, 164 from Rocha, 150 from Artigas, 136 from Treinta y Tres, 121 from Durazno and 97 from Flores.
All departments report infected people this Thursday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 31,219. follow him cannelloni (9,308), Maldonado (3,335) and Tacuarembo (2,331), among others.
For the report of the day, the Ministry of Public Health reported that removed 11 cases from the active list.
