The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported 282 new cases of coronavirus in Uruguay this Sunday from the analysis of 3,505 tests carried out, which represents a positivity of the 8% although duplicate analyzes are also included in some people.
According to the official report, there were no deaths with covid-19 diagnoses during this day, so the number of deaths from this disease remained at 6,163 reported until Saturday.
In turn, the number of people in intensive care grew from 23 to 25 patients this Sunday.
As of today, there are 3,967 active cases distributed in all the country’s departments, according to the Sinae report, and 92 correspond to health personnel.
Of the 282 infections confirmed this day, 137 were in Montevideo, 28 in Canelones, 25 in Salto, 22 in Colonia, 14 in Maldonado, 14 in Rocha, 12 in Paysandú, 11 in Flores, six in Soriano, three in Rivera, three in Treinta y Tres, two in Cerro Largo, two in Durazno, one in Artigas, one in Florida and one in Lavalleja.
The capital leads the list of active cases with 1,811 infected, followed by Canelones with 539 and Maldonado, with 304.
