Uruguay registered this Thursday 2,138 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 13,151 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 16.2%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were four deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 65 and 88 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,120 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 9,900 active cases across the country and 54 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 233 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 2,138 new cases, 1,029 were from Montevideo, 258 from Canelones, 114 from Colonia, 81 from Maldonado, 80 from San José, 78 from Florida, 72 from Durazno, 63 from Lavalleja, 46 from Cerro Largo, 46 from Rocha, 42 from from Rivera, 41 from Paysandú, 41 from Tacuarembo, 41 from Treinta y Tres, 33 from Artigas, 26 from Salto, 20 from Soriano, 17 from Río Negro and 10 from Flores.
All departments report infected people this Thursday, and Montevideo with 4,547. follow him cannelloni (1,449), Saint Joseph (433) and Cologne (425), among others.
For the report of the day, the Ministry of Public Health reported that removed nine cases from the active list.
