Coronavirus in Uruguay: 195 new cases, no deaths and 26 patients in ICU

Uruguay registered this Tuesday 195 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 9,496 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 2%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people.

In the last 24 hours there were no deaths associated with covid-19. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,080 deaths have been diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.

There are 2,317 active cases nationwide and 26 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 115 correspond to health personnel.

All departments report infected people this Tuesday and Montevideo leads the list of assets with 1,057. They follow him cannelloni (450), Maldonado (143) and Lavalleja (142), among others.

Of the 195 new cases, 86 were from Montevideo, 35 from Canelones, 20 from Maldonado, 14 from Tacuarembó, 10 from Lavalleja, 10 from Treinta y Tres, six from Florida, four from Colonia, three from Cerro Largo, three from Durazno, two from Paysandú, one from San José and one from Soriano.
