Uruguay registered this Saturday 9,085 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 24,366 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 37.2%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were 19 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 92 and 65 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,625 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 65,833 active cases across the country and 158 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 993 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 9,085 new cases, 4,295 were from Montevideo, 1,216 from Canelones, 404 from Maldonado, 363 from Paysandú, 329 from Soriano, 254 from Colonia, 247 from Florida, 224 from San José, 218 from Durazno, 216 from Tacuarembo, 209 from Río Negro, 185 from Salto, 175 from Rivera, 150 from Artigas, 138 from Cerro Largo, 133 from Lavalleja, 123 from Rocha, 123 from Treinta y Tres and 83 from Flores.
All departments report infected people this Saturday, and Montevideo leads the list of active cases with 30,708. follow him cannelloni (9,109), Maldonado (3,183) and Tacuarembo (2,165), among others.
For the report of the day, the Ministry of Public Health reported that removed 11 cases from the active list.
