Uruguay registered this Tuesday 6,121 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 18,348 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).
What’s more, there were 16 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 52 and 87 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,794 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 47,079 active cases across the country and 162 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total active cases, 634 correspond to health personnel.
Of the 6,121 new cases, 2,877 are from Montevideo, 788 from Canelones, 318 from Maldonado, 249 from Colonia, 224 from Florida, 199 from Paysandú, 181 from San José, 153 from Salto, 135 from Rivera, 127 from Cerro Largo, 118 from Soriano, 117 from Tacuarembo, 109 from Rocha, 92 from Durazno, 92 from Treinta y Tres, 91 from Lavalleja, 89 from Flores, 87 from Artigas and 75 from Río Negro.
All departments report infected people this Tuesday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 22,702. follow him cannelloni (7,014), Maldonado (1,852), Cologne (1,742) and Florida (1,291).
The report also clarifies that a positive case from a previous report was eliminated.
