Uruguay registered this Saturday 2,995 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 10,369 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).
What’s more, there were 12 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 57 and 93 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020 5,690,941 tests have been processed and have registered 838,341 positive cases of coronavirus in all the country. Of that total, 806,174 have already recovered.
There are 25,206 active cases across the country and 124 people are in intensive care centersaccording to the official report.
Of the 2,995 new cases, 1,308 are from Montevideo, 568 from Canelones, 223 from Maldonado, 124 from Colonia, 117 from Cerro Largo, 85 from San José, 78 from Florida, 66 from Lavalleja, 56 from Paysandú, 47 from Tacuarembo, 44 from Treinta y Tres, 42 from Rocha, 41 from Flores, 38 from Salto, 37 from Soriano, 35 from Río Negro, 31 from Artigas, 31 from Rivera and 24 from Durazno.
All departments report infected people this Saturday.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 18,223 correspond to health personnel. 17,838 of them have already recovered, 356 are suffering from the disease and 29 have died.
