Coronavirus in Uruguay: 10 deaths, 1,530 new cases and 92 patients in ICU

Uruguay registered this Wednesday 1,530 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 7,855 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 19.4%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).

What’s more, there were 10 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,069 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.

There are 12,394 active cases across the country and 92 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 250 correspond to the health personnel.

Of the 1,530 new cases, 650 were from Montevideo, 227 from Canelones, 130 from Colonia, 78 from Maldonado, 65 from Cerro Largo, 61 from Florida, 41 from San José, 32 from Artigas, 31 from Paysandú, 29 from Rocha, 29 from from Tacuarembo, 27 from Salto, 28 from Rivera, 25 from Lavalleja, 18 from Flores, 18 from Treinta y Tres, 16 from Soriano, 13 from Río Negro and 12 from Durazno.

All departments report infected people this Wednesday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 5,808. follow him cannelloni (1,871), Cologne (693), Maldonado (644) and Saint Joseph (442), among others.
