Cuba identified 37 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Sunday, when 2021 samples were processed according to the report on the epidemiological situation issued today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Only the provinces of Pinar del Río, Villa Clara, Granma and Guantánamo were free of infections. Havana identified the one with the largest number of cases, 11 in total.
Of the positive samples, 33 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases and in two individuals the cause of the infection was not specified. Also two was the number of imported.

Clinical discharges totaled 25, while 423 people remained admitted as a result of COVID-19, of which 219 confirmed active cases. One patient remained in intensive care for the disease.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age had 19 patients; seven corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, seven also to those between 40 and 59 years old and four to those over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to total 8,529 since no fatalities were reported this day either, according to MINSAP.
