Cuba identified 31 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Monday, July 11, when 1,571 samples were processed according to the part on the epidemiological situation issued today by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Eight provinces reported infections and Havana continues to be the one that reports the highest numbers, 13 this day.
Of the positive samples, 22 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases and in three individuals the cause of the infection was not specified. Six was the number of imported cases, detected in Havana, Matanzas and Santiago de Cuba.

Clinical discharges totaled 44 while 425 people remained admitted as a result of COVID-19, of which 206 were confirmed active cases. Like yesterday, one person remained bedridden in intensive care.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age again added 19 patients; eight corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, two to 40 to 59 years old and another two were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to total 8,529 since no fatalities were reported this day either, according to MINSAP.
