Cuba notified again medical discharges above one hundred, totaling 103 this Tuesday, according to the part published today by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap). 95 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus were identified.
2009 samples were processed for a positivity of 4.7%. Of the positive ones, 70 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases while 25 added the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified. There were no reports of imported infections.

The highest figures came from the provinces Holguín (15), Camagüey (13), Santiago de Cuba (13) and Las Tunas (13). On the contrary, only Pinar del Río and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality were free of new patients.
In total, 683 people remained hospitalized due to COVID-19; of these, 438 were confirmed active cases. The intensive care rooms closed again with seven bedridden patients.
By age ranges, infections continue to predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 63 cases on the day. In addition, 18 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, three to 40 to 59 years old and 11 were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 remain at 8,529 since no deaths were reported this day either. The lethality in Cuba is 0.77%.
