Contagions due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus closed for Cuba at 103 at the end of Friday, according to the report issued today by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
In this recordthe health authorities did not report deaths from COVID-19, which is why the fatalities of the pandemic remain at 8,529 since March 2020, when the first cases were detected on the island.
Of the total of positive samples, 103 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, in four individuals the cause of the infection was not specified and the imported ones closed in the same number.

Villa Clara (18) and Havana (15) reported the highest number of infections on the day. The remaining provinces remained below 15 cases, except for Las Tunas and Guantánamo, which did not report any contagion.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age continues to be the one with the highest figures in 24 hours, 48 today. The behavior in the remaining groups was as follows: 19 cases between 20 and 39; 12 between 40 and 59 and 24 in those older than 60 years.
According to the MINSAP, 73 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 totaled 2,113; of these, 446 concern confirmed active cases.
In intensive care rooms, the total number of bedridden patients closed at eight, all reported in serious condition.
Only two patients on the day were asymptomatic at the time of their diagnosis.
