Cuba reported 24 infections due to SARS-CoV-2 on Friday, according to the part that issues today the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) and in which no deaths from COVID-19 are reported.
The laboratories processed 4,398 samples and of the positive ones, 22 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, there were no imported cases and in two individuals the cause of the infection was not specified.
Camagüey (six) was the province that reported the most cases this Friday, the day on which five provinces were once again free of new infections: Pinal del Río, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spíritus, Granma and Santiago de Cuba. The rest reported fewer than four.

By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age had eight patients; seven correspond to the range between 20 and 39 years, three to the group of 40 to 59 years and those over 60 added six.
According to the MINSAP, 37 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 closed at 1,147; of these, 151 concern confirmed active cases. Two patients bedridden by coronavirus were recorded in the intensive care rooms.
The fatalities of the pandemic continue to add 8,529 since March 2020.
