Cuba reported 110 infections due to SARS-CoV-2 on Wednesday, according to the part that broadcasts today the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), whose registry does not include deaths from COVID-19 and the fatalities of the pandemic remained at 8,529.
The laboratories processed 6,425 samples. Of the 110 positives, 104 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, in four individuals the cause of the infection was not specified, while in two the imported cases were closed.
Camagüey (23) was the province that reported the most cases in a day in which all provinces reported infections, although these remained below 15 cases.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age added 37 cases. They are followed by those over 60 years of age, with 33. In addition, 28 correspond to the range between 20 and 39 years, and in 13 those between 40 and 59 closed.
According to the MINSAP, 117 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 closed at 2090; of these, 457 concern confirmed active cases.
In intensive care rooms, the sum of bedridden patients closed at 10, two people in critical condition and eight reported in serious condition.
