This time there were 93 positive samples reported by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), which did not notify deaths on the day and reported 92 medical discharges.
In this way, 1,104,589 patients with COVID-19 have already been detected in the Caribbean country since the start of the pandemic, while the number of deaths from the disease remained at 8,529 and that of recovered patients rose to 1,095. 534.
This Sunday, 2,076 patients admitted for causes related to the pandemic woke up, of them 1,584 suspects, 25 under surveillance and 467 confirmed active. Of the latter, nine remained in intensive care units: two in critical condition and seven in serious condition, according to the MINSAP.

As for the new cases, these were detected after the analysis of 5,921 samples, and of them 91 are contacts of confirmed cases and in two the source of the infection was unknown. This Saturday there were no cases imported from abroad.
By sex, 60 are female and 33 male 33, while only six were asymptomatic. Meanwhile, the distribution by age groups was as follows: under 20 years of age (43), from 20 to 39 years of age (18), from 40 to 59 years of age (11), and over 60 years of age (21).
Finally, the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud registered the highest number of cases, with 19. Villa Clara (12), Camagüey (12) and Havana (11) also exceeded ten cases, while Las Tunas, Granma, Santiago from Cuba and Guantánamo did not report sick.
