Cuba reported 73 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Saturday, according to the part that post today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP). 82 medical discharges were also notified.
2,316 samples were processed and, of the positive ones, 50 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, while 20 included the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified. Three were imported infections.

The highest figures come this day from Holguín (22), the only territory that exceeds ten. In contrast, only the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality did not identify cases.
In total, 634 people remained hospitalized due to COVID-19; of these, 386 were confirmed active cases. The intensive care rooms closed with four bedridden patients.
By age ranges, infections predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 46 cases on the day. In addition, 14 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, four to 40 to 59 years old and nine were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to add up to 8,529 since no deaths were reported this day either. The lethality in Cuba is 0.77%.
