Cuba identified 68 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Sunday, a day in which 61 discharges were reported according to the part published today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
2077 samples were processed and, of the positive ones, 48 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases while in three individuals the virus had been imported. 17 added the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified.

The largest number of infections came from the Holguín province (12), although this time it only exceeded ten. On the contrary, Pinar del Río, Mayabeque and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality were free of new cases.
In total, 757 people remained hospitalized due to COVID-19; of these, 476 were confirmed active cases. The intensive care rooms closed with eight patients, four serious and four in critical condition.
By age ranges, infections continue to predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 33 cases on the day. In addition, 15 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, seven to 40 to 59 years old and 13 were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 have totaled 8,529 for months. No deaths were reported this day. The lethality continues at 0.77%.
