The Cuban health authorities reported 46 new infections of coronavirus at the close of this Friday, a day in which no deaths or patients in critical condition due to COVID-19 were reported.
Until midnight yesterday, 1,257 patients related to the disease were hospitalized, of which 1,037 were suspected, 24 under surveillance and 196 confirmed active. Four seriously ill patients were treated in intensive care units, while 56 medical discharges were given.
In this way, the number of patients detected since the start of the pandemic is now 1,105,227, the deceased remained at 8,529 and the recovered amounted to 1,096,443, although some of them have had sequelae due to the infectious disease.
In addition, the figures of evacuees (2) and returnees to their countries (57) remain unchanged, according to the most recent party of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).

As for the new cases, they were detected after the analysis of 4,971 samples and 43 were contacts of previously confirmed cases. Meanwhile, one had his source of infection abroad and in two the origin of the infection could not be specified.
Only eight infected (17.4% of the total) were asymptomatic at the time of detection.
By sex, 27 belong to the female and 19 to the male, while by age groups they were distributed as follows: under 20 years old (20), from 20 to 39 years old, (7), from 40 to 59 years old ( 7) and over 60 (12).
Finally, Camagüey, with nine cases, and Havana, with six, were the most affected provinces. On the contrary, neither Granma nor Santiago de Cuba registered new patients.
