Cuba reported a total of 44 new positive cases of Covid-19 this Saturday, without regretting deaths, as a result of 5,223 samples carried out throughout the country. the most recent party of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
At the close of May 20, the health authorities of the Caribbean nation reported 1,599 admitted patients, in addition to 1,297 suspects, 23 under epidemiological surveillance and a total of 279 active cases of the new coronavirus.
Of the 44 positive patients to date, 41 are contacts of confirmed cases and three people presented a source of infection abroad, while only one was asymptomatic.
By gender, 29 females and 15 males were identified. By age groups, the composition is divided into: under 20 years of age (21), from 20 to 39 years of age (9), from 40 to 59 years of age (4), and from 60 and over a dozen cases.

The MINSAP report adds that no province reported more than 10 positive cases. Only Havana, with nine, came close to that figure. Matanzas, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo, did not present positive cases on the day.
Five people are cared for in the intensive care rooms, 3 of them in critical condition and 2 in serious condition, on a date when two people were evacuated and a total of 82 medical discharges were granted and 57 people returned to their countries.
