The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) of Cuba reported that thanks to the analysis of 2,143 samples carried out until midnight this Saturday, September 10, it was possible to identify 36 new cases of the COVID-19 in the country.
The most recent part The agency indicates that there were no deaths related to the disease on the day, so the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic remains at 8,530, which represents a fatality rate of 0.77%.

It also transpired that so far 220 people remain hospitalized, of which 96 are suspected of being infected with the new coronavirus, while the number of confirmed active people is set at 124.
Of the total number of patients, 29 were contacts of confirmed cases, one had his source of infection abroad and the source of infection of six people could not be specified.
The report adds that of the new patients, 24 are women and 12 are men, whose ages are distributed as follows: under 20 years of age (25), from 20 to 39 years of age (7), from 40 to 59 years of age (2) and older. 60 years old (2).
During the day, cases were reported from 12 provinces of the country, but none exceeded ten. Above five were only Sancti Spíritus, Camagüey and Holguín, all with 6 infections.
The Minsap also confirmed that the two evacuated at the beginning of the pandemic and the 57 returned to their country remain, while the medical discharges granted on the day amounted to 28.
The agency added in its update that only one patient continues to receive care in intensive care units, reported as confirmed serious.
