Coronavirus in Cuba: 29 infections and no patients in intensive care for the disease

Cuba reported for the second consecutive day 29 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, now on Thursday, June 23, according to the report on the epidemiological situation issued today by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).

32 clinical discharges were reported and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 closed at 263, of which 104 were confirmed active cases. No one remained in intensive care due to COVID-19 on Thursday.

10 provinces reported infections, but only Havana, with 15 cases (two more than the previous day), exceeded the number of four patients in the last 24 hours, when 2,184 samples were processed.

Of the positives, 20 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases and eight were imported infections. Only in one case had the origin of the infection not been identified.

By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age had 19 patients; four corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years, three to the group of 40 to 59 years, while those over 60 also added three.

The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to add up to 8,529.
