Cuba identified 13 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Thursday, a day in which the notified medical discharges closed at 17 according to the information offered today by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The laboratories processed 1,714 samples, and of the positive ones, 11 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases. In two individuals, the cause of the infection was not specified.

In total, 121 people were hospitalized for COVID-19 at midnight. In 50 of these patients there was little suspicion that they had the disease, while 71 were confirmed active.
Eight provinces reported infections and only Holguín (four) and Camagüey (three) exceeded the number of one identified case.
By age ranges, nine included patients under 20 years of age, two belong to the range between 20 and 39 years and two were over 60.
The Minsap reported four serious bedridden, while the fatalities of COVID-19 remain at 8,530, for which the lethality is 0.77% in Cuba.
