The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported the detection of 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Cuba, thanks to the analysis of 1,869 samples processed until midnight on Tuesday, September 20.
142 people remained hospitalized, of which 63 were suspected of having been infected with the SARS CoV-2 virus, while those confirmed active totaled 79.
In his most recent part, the health agency confirmed that there were no deaths related to the disease on the day, so the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic remains at 8,530. The fatality rate of 0.77%.

Of the new cases, nine are women and four are men with ages distributed as follows: under 20 years of age, seven; from 20 to 39 years old, four, from 40 to 59 years old, one and with more than 60 one also. All were contacts of confirmed cases.
Six provinces of the country reported new infections, but only Sancti Spíritus and Holguín reached three.
The Minsap also reported that the two evacuated at the beginning of the pandemic and the 57 returned to their countries were maintained. During the day, 27 medical discharges were granted.
At the same time, it was learned that three patients remained under treatment in intensive care units, all reported with confirmed serious illness.
