Coronavirus: Cuba with 45 infections on Wednesday. The highest figure, seven in Havana

The infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus identified by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) on Wednesday totaled 45, according to the part that issues today the organism. Havana was the province with the most cases, and they barely added seven.

For this information, 5,260 samples were processed, of which 459 were contacts of confirmed cases, in three individuals the cause of the infection was not specified and in two the imported cases were closed.

Except for Havana (seven) and Mayabeque (six), the remaining provinces remained below five cases, except for Las Tunas, Granma and Santiago de Cuba, which, according to this information, did not report any.

By age, the group made up of those under 20 closed with 14 cases and 16 were patients over 60 years of age; eight was the number between 20 and 39 and seven between 40 and 59.

47 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 dropped to 1,336; of these, 212 concern confirmed active cases.

Only one bedridden patient reported to be in serious condition remained in intensive care rooms.

No deaths were reported on the day, and the fatalities of the pandemic remain at 8,529 since March 2020, when the first cases were detected on the island. The lethality is 0.77%.
