Cuba identified 654 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) that in its part today does not report death due to COVID-19. During the day, 11,958 samples were processed.
Of the total cases, 633 were contacts of confirmed cases, in 14 individuals the cause of the infection was not specified and seven were imported.

Camagüey province (95) was the one that reported the most cases, followed by Mayabeque (86) and Ciego de Ávila (83).
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age is again the one with the highest figures in 24 hours (222), followed by 174 infections in the group between 20 and 39. They are followed by those over 60, with 159 , and those corresponding to the range between 40 and 59, with 99.
According to the MINSAP, 814 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 was 6,989; Of these, 2,833 are confirmed active cases.
In intensive care rooms the sum of bedridden reached 30, with nine in critical condition and 21 reported as serious.
4.0% of infections on the day were asymptomatic.
