Coronavirus: Cuba confirms three new cases of COVID-19, all with symptoms

Cuba identified three new cases of COVID-19 this Tuesday, according to the part of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) published today.

Two of those infected were contacts of confirmed cases, while the origin of the infection is unknown in one. His residence was located in the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality.

Artemisa and Matanzas also reported cases. The laboratories processed 1,538 samples. The Minsap notified six medical discharges.

In total, 29 people were hospitalized for coronavirus at midnight on Tuesday. In 24 there were only suspicions that they had been infected by SARS-CoV-2, while five were confirmed active cases.

By age, one of the patients was under 20 years of age and two were over 60.

The Minsap did not report bedridden patients in intensive care rooms this day, while fatalities due to the pandemic remain at 8,530, for which the lethality is 0.77% on the island.

For the control of this disease, the development of five national formulas has been decisive: Soberana 01, Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, Abdala and Mambisa.

Some of these drugs were also authorized by the health regulatory entities of Vietnam, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Mexico, among other nations.
