The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported the registration of eight new cases of COVID-19 in Cuba thanks to the analysis of 1,268 samples until midnight this Friday, September 30.
The most recent part The health agency points out that, during the day, there were no deaths related to the disease, so the 8,530 deaths since the start of the pandemic remain and the fatality rate is 0.77%.

71 people remain hospitalized, of which 43 are suspected of having been infected with the new coronavirus, while the number of confirmed active patients was set at 28. Only one of these patients receives care in intensive care units and is reported as seriously confirmed.
Five of the new patients are women and three are men; everyone’s source of infection was a confirmed contact.
As for their ages, only three are under 20 years old, the same figure is between 20 and 39 years old, while one is in the range of 40 to 59 years old and another is over 60 years old.
Only the provinces of Cienfuegos (1), Camagüey (5) and Holguín (2) reported new cases on the day.
The Minsap also confirmed that the 2 evacuated at the beginning of the pandemic and the 57 returned to their countries remain, while 14 medical discharges were granted.
