Coronavirus: 35% of those enabled were vaccinated or scheduled for the fourth dose

Until March 14, 2022 they are 75,400 people over 50 years of age who were vaccinated with the fourth dose of the Pfizer vaccine against the coronavirus, reported the Undersecretary of Health, José Luis Satdjian, to The Observer.

What’s more, there are 245,600 people in this strip waiting to be vaccinatedwhich makes a total of 321 thousand people registered for the new booster dose. According to Satdjian, this represents the 35% of people who signed up to receive the third dose in that age group.

“There is a good number of people signed up to receive the booster dose”Satdjian valued, and remarked that from the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) they point out that “everyone who wants to receive the vaccine sign up to schedule and increase the level of immunity”.

The schedule for the fourth dose of those over 50 years of age began 23 of February, along with the third dose for children between 12 and 17 years of age. While these adolescents must wait 120 days from the last vaccine to acquire the third vaccine. Those over 50 must wait 180 days to be inoculated with the new booster.

Till the date, 83.7% of the population received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccineaccording to data from the CoronavirusUy app. 79.1% of the inhabitants of Uruguay already have two doses acquiredand 58.3% were already inoculated with the booster dose.
