The infections caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Tuesday, September 6, reached a total of 31 in Cuba, according to the part published today the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), and where 66 discharges and 129 people with active disease are reported.
In total, 243 patients remained hospitalized due to COVID-19 and, of these, 114 were suspected cases of having been infected by the virus. In intensive care wards, one bedridden patient was reported to be in serious condition.

The laboratories processed 1,811 samples and, of the positive ones, 28 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, while three included the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified. There were no imported cases.
Nine provinces identified patients, and the ones with the highest numbers in 24 hours were Ciego de Ávila (seven), Granma (six) and Holguín (five).
By age ranges, 25 correspond to those under 20 years of age; four to the range between 20 and 39 years and two were over 60. The group between 40 and 59 was free of patients this day.
The fatalities of COVID-19 remain at 8,530 since deaths were also not reported and the lethality is 0.77% in Cuba, where the first cases of COVID-19 were detected in March 2020.
