Cuba identified 98 infections of the SARS-CoV-2 virus this Tuesday, after processing 2,157 samples according to the information issued this day by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
771 people remained hospitalized due to COVID-19, of which 512 were confirmed active cases; both figures higher than those reported on the previous day.

Bedridden in intensive care, the total number of patients rose to seven, two in critical condition and five in serious condition. Instead, the discharges of the day totaled 77.
The highest numbers in terms of new infections corresponded to Camagüey (16), Las Tunas (16), Havana (15) and Santiago de Cuba (10). Only Pinar del Río was free of cases in the last 24 hours.
Of the positive samples, 84 were in contacts of confirmed cases and in three the virus had been imported. 11 add up the individuals in whom the cause of the infection was not specified.
By age ranges, infections continue to predominate in those under 20 years of age, with 52 cases on the day. In addition, 23 corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, four to 40 to 59 years old and 19 were over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to add up to 8,529 since no deaths were reported this day either. The lethality is 0.77%.
