Cuba reported 17 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Monday, June 20, according to the new summary on the epidemiological situation issued by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age added nine patients; six corresponded to the range of between 20 and 39 years, two to the group of 40 to 59 years, while those over 60 were free of patients this time.
16 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 dropped to 268, of which 88 were confirmed active cases and only one person remained in intensive care due to COVID-19.
Seven provinces reported new infections. Havana, with eight cases, reported the highest figures.

During the day, 2,193 samples were processed; of the positive ones, 10 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases and in two individuals the origin of the infection was located outside the country. In six individuals, the cause of infection was not yet specified.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to add up to 8,529.
