This Thursday, November 29 Cormagdalena elected a new board of directors with the presence of the Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Francisco Reyes González, and the Vice Minister of Infrastructure, María Constanza García, at the assembly that took place in Barrancabermeja, Santander.

The Director’s management report was also presented and the financial statements for 2021 were approved. There, the importance of restore the navigability of the Magdalena River due to its importance for the connectivity of the country.
The purpose of the Ministry is to work hand in hand with entities, communities and local authorities to make investments that promote this mode of transport and the economic, social and environmental development of the riverside municipalities.
“In the government of President Gustavo Petro we are completely committed to recovering and promoting transportation through the Magdalena River, which is a total priority, as shown by the investments we have made in these months and the project of more than $2 billion that we are currently structuring. River transport brings many logistical efficiencies and less environmental pollution, with which we advance in our purpose of generating social, environmental and economic justice in all territories”, assured Minister Reyes González.
