Corinthians defeated Liverpool (Uruguay) by 3-0, this Thursday night (6) at the Centenario Stadium, in Montevideo, and secured the leadership of Group E of the Copa Libertadores da América at the beginning of its trajectory in the 2023 edition of the competition.

Just three minutes into the second half, Corinthians managed to expand. Fagner put the ball in the middle of the defense and Róger Guedes stretched out to put it in the back of the goal. Timão’s number 10 was on an inspired night and, in the 17th minute, he left his mark again after a quick counterattack.
After debuting on the right foot in the continental competition, Corinthians will be back on the pitch for the tournament on April 19, a Wednesday, when they host Argentino Juniors (Argentina).
