In a confrontation in which the keynote was balance, Corinthians opened the scoring in the 40th minute of the first half with a header from defender Mariza. But in the final stage, the Guerreiras Grenás equalized in the 36th minute with defender Andressa.
As the tie lasted until the final whistle, classification for the final had to be decided in a penalty shootout. And in the maximum penalties, Brabas do Timão showed more coolness to win 6-5 and guarantee their presence in the decision.
In the Women’s Libertadores final, which will be played next Saturday (18) at 8pm (Brasília time), Corinthians will face Deportivo Cali (Colombia).
