Corinthians is still very interested in being able to count on Philippe Coutinho in 2023. The president of Timao, Duilio Monteiro Alves, confirmed the interest of the São Paulo club in being able to count on the ex-Blaugrana who is not going through his best moment at Aston Villa.
“The contacts exist, the desire exists, but it is a very difficult business. Corinthians wants the footballer on loan, but as long as the transfer window in Europe is open, everything is very difficult. It is still a very premature operation but we have to try“said the Corinthian leader.
Timao’s chances of being able to count on Coutinho happen, first of all, because the Rio de Janeiro midfielder, whom his team has put on the market, does not find any destination this January. Once the hiring window in the major European leagues has closed, Corinthians believes that their great opportunity could arrive, because, by Brazilian regulations, Phlippe could join the next few months. He could even do it in April coinciding with Corinthians’ debut in the Copa Libertadores de América.
