A group of fans of corinthians invaded a motel in the city of Sao Paulo at dawn this Tuesday and attacked the midfielder Luan Vieiraa player from the São Paulo team who has not been used for many months due to his poor performance.
The attack was confirmed by Corinthians himself, one of the most popular clubs in Brazil but which is currently experiencing a bad moment and is threatened with falling into the relegation zone in the League, in a statement in which it repudiated the “cowardly aggression” and He made his lawyers available to the footballer.
According to the Police, the attackers decided to invade the Caribe motel, located in the Barra Funda neighborhood, after being informed that Luan had entered the establishment and was at a party with five friends and four women. According to the police bulletin, beaten, the soccer player suffered minor injuries to his back and did not need to be hospitalized.
Luan published hours later on her social networks the image of shorts with blood stains without commenting. The midfielder, signed by Corinthians in 2020, recently requested a new opportunity from the current coach of the São Paulo team, the former Brazilian coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, arguing that he is in physical condition to return to the pitch.
The fans demand the expulsion of Luan
The coach admitted that he does not take advantage of the player due to strong pressure from the fans to get him sent off from Corinthians. The midfielder, who has a contract with the Sao Paulo club until December this year, has not been in the starting lineup since February last year.
