A lot of emotion in the final of the Women’s Copa Libertadores, between Corinthians and Deportivo Cali, from Colombia. The ball starts at 4:30 pm this Saturday (18), at the Florencio Sola stadium, in Banfield, Argentina.
Brabas do Timão secured their place in the final, last Wednesday (15), by beating Ferroviária 6-5 in the penalty shootout, after a 1-1 draw. The game was held at the Francisco Urbano stadium, in Buenos Aires.

In a match in which the keynote was balance, Corinthians opened the scoring in the 40th minute of the first half with a header from defender Mariza. But in the final stage, the Guerreiras Grenás equalized in the 36th minute with defender Andressa.
As the tie lasted until the end of normal game time, classification for the final was decided on penalties. It was there that Brabas do Timão showed more coolness and won the dispute.
Current champion of the Copa Libertadores in women’s football, Corinthians has collected five titles in the Latin American competition (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024). The Brazilian teams São José, Santos, Ferroviária and Palmeiras have also lifted the Women’s Libertadores cup in previous years.
