In a message broadcast on social networks, he recalled that the INE went to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) to challenge the reforms to the Law of Social Communication and the Law of Responsibilities of Public Servants and that it will later challenge the rest of the laws, once the Senate concludes the legislative process.
“This is the constitutional way to resolve a dispute, which beyond the diatribes and disqualifications, which unfortunately are made from power, can and should be resolved through legal, constitutional channels and before democratic institutions,” he said.
The reforms that allowed the country to move towards a democracy that, today, recognizes the plurality of Mexico, and guarantees and expands the rights of citizens, have been embodied in the Constitution.

Córdova stressed that the Constitution contains the rules of political competition to which everyone must be subject, both governments, political parties, electoral authorities and the general public.
If it were not respected, he added, it would be impossible to exercise effective suffrage, the authenticity of the vote, alternation and democratic governance.
