Córdoba: thousands of people and some 14 floats shone in the pride march

Thousands of people from different LGBTIQ+ groups celebrated this Saturday with colorful outfits and in some 14 floats the 14th edition of the Pride March in the city of Córdoba. Its axes were the regulation of the Law of Comprehensive Response to HIV and provincial and municipal adherence to the Law of Travesti Trans Labor Quotaamong other claims.

With the motto “Face Hate, Diversity, Fight and Organization” after 4:00 p.m. the demonstration began from the Centennial Bridge, Miter Boulevard and General Paz, where a diversity entrepreneurs fair was set up, there was a free HIV test and ITS and held a dissenting picnic.

From that boulevard, 14 floats from the groups Devenir Diverse, Accion Disidente and Atta also left.

With colorful outfits and posters that read “Sex work is work”, “We want ESI in all schools” and “Intregral Trans Law”, which was the most chanted slogan.

The Official Commission of the Pride March raised as its main demand a comprehensive law for trans people, an anti-discrimination law, regulation of the law for a comprehensive response to HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis and STIs, and the recognition of sex work as a job.

At the end of the march there was a recital of various bands like Rajap, Versus, Coro Diverso and Divine, among others.

In addition, there was a claim for Córdoba’s adherence to the transvestite quota and labor inclusion law; the approval of the law of condoms for vulvas and the historical reparation to transvestite and trans elderly people.

Also out of respect for the human rights of the intersex collective and approval of a law for the protection of sexual characteristics; Tehuel’s appearance alive and for justice for all the victims of transvesticides, transfemicides and transhomicides.

In addition, there was a claim for the approval of the solidarity gestation law and full recognition of all forms of families; and for labor rights for sex workers.

“Faced with the conservative reaction, we say enough of hatred, discrimination and violence. Let’s defend democracy and all conquered rights. Let’s keep moving forward until everything is as we dreamed it”maintained the organizations of the march, which closed with the ‘Pride Party’ in the University Dining Room, located in Ciudad Universitaria
